A recent survey of over 2,000 women, revealed that 93% of highly qualified women who have left the work force for a period of years, wanted to resume their careers. Only 74% managed to do so.

With the rapid changes in technology, even a few years off can cause you to start falling behind. With with the current talent shortfall, some businesses have developed programs that keep women connected to the company after they leave and ease the transition back when the time comes to return to work. Other businesses are closely watching the graduates of new business school programs that are focused on the back to work transition. It turns out businesses are eager to snap up graduates.

Home Office Time Saving Tips

When you are forwarding emails or sending to your contact list, remember to put everyone’s email address in BCC (Blind Carbon Copy), that way you will not be breaching your contact's privacy and sharing their information with the rest of the world.

Another Time Saving Tip:
Remember to actually remember what you are doing!

While this may seem ridiculous to you at first, on closer examination you may realize, as I did, that it happens all the time! Here is my scenario. I went to the store with a list, got the shopping cart and proceed to efficiently check the items off my list. As I got down to the last items I said to myself ... oh ... I can put the list in my pocket now, there is only 2 items left!

Just then a friend of mine came around the corner and after standing chatting with her for several minutes, I helped straight to the cash out! Sound familiar? Luckily I passed the final listed items on my way and the sight of them jogged my memory. Out came my list again!
I fulfilled my mission. Whew, another near miss and a saved trip.

I know you are all laughing aloud! But how often does this happen? Too often! I am so glad I hardly ever go to the store these days. At the store it is hard to stick to the list at all with the many "discount" displays that get you to spend more than you intended and waste your time to boot.

Health Tip

Would you like your Coffee Regular or Decaf?

Skip the caffeine buzz and you may still be in for a jolt.  A study presented at an American Heart Association conference looked at java junkies who guzzled three to six cups of coffee daily for three months. The study found that decaf not regular, boosted fatty acids in the blood which can raise harmful LDL cholesterol. 

Because the decaffeination process can strip away flavour, companies compensate by often using stronger-tasting beans which have higher levels of fats. This information was reported by the lead author. He advises coffee drinkers to limit themselves to one cup of decaf daily, or enjoy the real thing.
