√ Start by clearing off your desk/computer and leaving open only the project you are currently working on. This alone can be powerful in eliminating confusion and distraction.

√ Turn off your email, especially that annoying pop up that lets you know you have received new email. I have never seen a flashing light or a present I could stand to look at for long without my curiosity getting the better of me! Take temptation/distraction out of your way and close the program down until your project is finished.

√ Be realistic and do not overbook your day by scheduling in more than you know in your heart you can do. Sure it is great to think it will all get done but this feeling is quickly over run by the stress of knowing you are running out of time! I love the quote ... We overestimate what we can accomplish in a day and underestimate what we can accomplish in a year. Morale of the story.
It is better to make a plan and go methodically forward that run around each day with your head chopped off.
